A Melksham man accused of being involved in the trade in hard drugs has been released on bail by a judge.

Paul Fisher, 24, is also said to have unlawfully had an air weapon in a public place and possessed and converted criminal property.

No charges were formally put to Fisher, of Buzzard Close, and he did not enter any pleas during the brief hearing at Swindon Crown Court on Friday.

It is alleged that he offered to supply cocaine on Wednesday, February 26, and Friday February 28.

He is also accused of being concerned in the supply of the class-A drug between February 25 and Thursday, March 13.

The air weapon charge is said to have taken place in Buzzard Close on Saturday, March 29.

It is alleged he had criminal property in the form of money, a motor vehicle and electrical items between Saturday, March 1, and Wednesday, April 23.

The final charge of converting criminal property relates to a 60-reg Mercedes C-class car and is said to have taken place in April.

Judge Alistair McGrigor adjourned the case to Friday, December 12, and released Fisher on bail until then.
