WILTSHIRE Police are appealing for information regarding the whereabouts of Margaret Grant, 60, from Chippenham.

Margaret, also known as Maggie, was last seen yesterday evening (October 12) at her home address in Manor Road, Chippenham.

Police confirmed on Wednesday morning (Oct 14) that Maggie has left her dog at her home, something considered unusual behaviour for her.

The 60-year-old, who suffers with heart problems and will be in need of medication that police fear she does not have with her, has not made contact with her family since Monday evening, which is out of character.

Margaret is white with shoulder length blond hair which is sometimes tied up and described as a large build.

She may be wearing black jogging bottoms with a plain t-shirt and a blue anorak.

She is believed to have taken her car, a silver 55-plated Land Rover Freelander (registration plate WK55 YGH) and her mobile phone.

Officers are conducting enquiries in the local area today and the community may notice an increased police presence.

"We are appealing for Margaret to make contact with either officers or her family to ensure she is okay," said a spokesman.

Anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of Margaret is asked to call Wiltshire Police on 101, alternatively call Crimestoppers 0800 555 111 where details may be left anonymously if preferred.
