EMERGENCY services have been working tirelessly to combat the effects of Storm Imogen which has wreaked havoc across Wiltshire. 

The B3105 from Staverton to Forewoods Common is now open. The short B3106 to Holt is closed, however.

The south west Environment Agency flood warning for the River Avon at Bradford on Avon has been stood down.

The A36 was closed from 6.30am today after a tree blocked the road on Woods Hill, Limpley Stoke, but has now been cleared. 

The same was the case last night, 5.15pm, on the B3353 at Gastard, near Corsham, with a fallen tree that was quickly removed. 

Lacock and Reybridge has also been hit, in particular near the abbey, and the bridges are badly affected as well. 

The parish councils of Sutton Benger and Christian Malford have put up road signs, as the road between the two places has been hampered by heavy rain and floods. 

Storm Imogen, which has reached gusts up to 100mph, has wreaked havoc across the the south east and west of England. 

An amber weather alert for motorways and major A roads in these regions has also been issued by Highways England.
