A Wiltshire supermarket has been looted after three burglars forced their way in using a crowbar.

The Co-op store on Blackmore Road in Melksham was broken into just after 11pm on Sunday, August 13.

Three suspects made their way into the shop, via the main entrance, after using the tool to force entry.

Police have now launched an investigation into the burglary and have urged anyone who witnessed anything suspicious to come forward.

A spokesperson for the force said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a Burglary at Co-op, Blackmore Road, Melksham at approximately 11.05pm on Sunday, August 13.

“Three suspects have forced entry to the main entry to the store using a crowbar.

“If you have any information or saw anything suspicious around the Co-op around this time, please contact us via 101 or online quoting crime reference 54230085435.

“Information can also be passed anonymously via Crimestoppers.”
