Wiltshire Council is hosting another ‘Ask the Leader of the Council’ event on Tuesday, November 28 in Melksham.

It will take place in the library at Melksham’s Community Campus, from 6.00pm to 7.30pm.

The event will be an opportunity to put questions directly to the leader of Wiltshire Council, Councillor Richard Clewer.

Residents will be encouraged to ask about the council’s objectives and challenges in Melksham or ask any general questions relating to the council and the county as a whole.

The event will occur two weeks after a location in Melksham was approved to be the first phase of the council’s depot strategy.

Previous events have taken place in Chippenham, Devizes, Westbury, Trowbridge, Salisbury, Southern Wiltshire and Calne.

Councillor Richard Clewer said: “Thank you to everyone who came along to the ‘Ask the Leader’ event in Calne, it was really useful to meet people face to face and hear their experiences of local issues.

“We had some really good discussions around possible solutions to local issues, which I will now take forward and explore.”

He added: “These events are a great way to ensure our priorities reflect those of our local communities.

“If people can’t make the event but would still like to ask a question, they can submit it in advance to communications@wiltshire.gov.uk."
