SPRING CUP: Westwood ran out easy 10-1 winners over Steeple Ashton Reserves in their preliminary round game in the AM Print and Copy of Westbury-sponsored Spring Cup.
Dan Thorne started the goal rush, which was then quickly added to by Ben Cowdry and Richard Jones for a 3-0 lead at half-time.
With the second half only a few minutes old Steeple Ashton Reserves pulled a goal back through George Mortimer, but this was their only consolation as Westwood stepped up two gears.
Three goals from Dan Thorne made it 6-1, before Ben Cowdry scored his second. Steve Lye then made it 8-1 and with ten minutes left Richard Jones scored his second before Duncan Frew made it 10-1 with the last kick of the game.
