Ten-man Chippenham Town went down by a single goal on Sunday as Bath City picked up the Coronation Cup.

The trophy, which was revived for this pre-season fiendly between the local rivals, was settled after four minutes when Richard Evans reacted quickly after Chris Snoddy had saved from Stuart Douglas.

An uneventful first half followed with Chippenham's only effort on target coming from trialist Tareq Khalil on the stroke of half-time.

Frustrations boiled over afte the break with Sam Allison first earning a yellow card for a reckless tackle of City skipper Jim Rollo.

Midfielder Kye Holly was then the unfortunate recipient of a red card from referee Simon Knapp following an altercation with a Bath player in the build-up to a corner.

Snoddy and Lewis Powell were also booked for the visitors while former Bluebird Mark Badman also say yellow.

Ex-Chippenham players Steve Perrin and Aaron Cornwall also featured for Bath City.

Adie Mings' side are in action again on Tuesday night when they visit Melksham Town from the Western League.
