THE Grapes United are the new leaders after a 6-3 win at previously unbeaten Cavalier FC.
The win was a perfect birthday gift for manager Tony Couch. Cavalier led at half-time through Dan rance’s goal but Mikki Harrison and Stuart Barber put Grapes 2-1 ahead. Rance made it 2-2 but Barber’s second and a Lee Fielding penalty made it 4-2. Andy Holman reduced the deficit for Cavalier before goals from Emilio Menghini and James Worsley sealed victory for the new leaders.
Unbeaten Stonewood Sundays BFC lost 5-2 to Buttercross FC, the team they beat last week in the cup. Mike Hopkins put Stonewood ahead but Jamie Lardner, two, and Simon McCarthy, three, made it 5-1 before Ashley Barnett grabbed a consolation.
London Road FC shipped 21 goals in their last game but this time it was just an 8-0 defeat at Evana Designs.
Jacob Brickell, two, Troy Thomas, Milo Pearson, two, Jacob Applegate, two, and Matthew Cameron scored.
