A WEEK on from their 5-2 victory against FC North Wiltshire, Joe Martin took his Division Two title hopefuls Corsham Centre Youth side to Leafy Lane for the reverse fixture and, as expected, Centre completed the anticipated double over their hosts thanks to an 8-2 win.

An even first half saw North Wilts open the scoring with a glorious strike from James Bamford.

A Ben Thomson corner on 25 minutes saw Centre get back on level terms, Adam Shipman heading home a near post header for 1-1.

Centre took the lead in the 35th minute, Liam Ralph hitting a wonder strike to give his team the half-time lead.

Within five minutes of the restart North Wilts were back on level terms, as a James Bamford header made in 2-2.

The addition of young left full back Tom Chandler added some life to the Centre's game as Ben Thomson began to boss the midfield.

A sublime Darrin Moss free kick on 70 minutes followed quickly by another Thomson and Shipman combination took it to 4-2 with 15 minutes to go.

Liam Ralph closed down the keeper to get number five and Centre’s top scored Darrin Moss his second and his team's sixth. Josh Bright knocked home number seven and with the last move of the game Adam Shipman completed his hat-trick with a deft chip over the keeper.

Having conceded 36 goals in their previous three matches, which included an 11-1 loss to Bremhill View, The Mallard FC would not have been looking forward to their second meeting in 21 days against Ben Redford’s side who went into the game on the back of a 17-0 win over Old Road last weekend.

As expected, Bremhill picked up the points again and their 8-0 win that saw them move into second place in the table.

Clive McDaid on his debut put Bremhill in front and Kieron Gleed doubled the lead before half time.

After the break, Bremhill finally wore their hosts down and the floodgates opened with Kieron Gleed scoring three more.

Player-manager Redford got his name on the scoresheet as did Lawrence Elliot and Billy Gleed whose goal made up the winners' tally.
