THE prospect of seeing a Bath Rugby-centric back-line run out for England during the Six Nations is certainly a mouthwatering one for The Rec faithful.

But one probable member of that contingent says no one at the club is getting carried away.

Young full-back/wing Anthony Watson was this week named in the England training camp ahead of the championships alongside Bath centres Kyle Eastmond and Jonathan Joseph, and fly-half George Ford.

Although Watson admits it would be amazing for the quartet to combine at international level, they cannot afford to look that far ahead, especially with a crunch European game at home to Glasgow on the horizon.

“It would be unbelievable for that to happen but it’s still a long way off,” said Watson, who made his England debut last autumn.

“It’ll be great for me to go back into that environment and I feel like I’ve come back and kicked on from the QBE games in November.

“It’s great for us to have so many players recognised by England but as players you try not to think about that.

“Everyone here is just trying to better every day in training and in every game we play.”

First on Watson’s mind is the small matter of this weekend’s game against Glasgow – one they must win to reach the European Champions Cup quarter-finals.

“It’s hard to say how big a game it is. We are just trying to concentrate on how we play first and foremost,” added Watson.

“We just want to go out and play the Bath way. If we do that, hopefully all the supporters at The Rec will get behind us and help us create a day to remember for everyone.”
