A WEEK after they saw their title hopes suffer a blow following a 2-1 defeat at the hands of defending Premier Division champions The Castle FC, current leaders Prestige Bodyworks locked horns with Tom Perkins' side for a second successive week.

On this occasion, it was Prestige who claimed the spoils thanks to a 3-1 win that puts them in control of their own destiny and if they win their next two fixtures, they could be faced with a winner-takes-all clash with Corsham CC Wildcats on the final day of the season.

Jamie Treweke and Adam O’Keeffe gave Prestige a 2-0 lead at the break.

Rob Mitchell reduced the arrears for the Castle before O’Keffee netted his second of the morning and his 21st of the season to earn Prestige a massive victory over their rivals in the title race.

AFC Melksham ran out 7-3 winners at home to Westbury Rangers, who played an hour with 10 players following an injury to Dan Cox, which saw him taken to Chippenham Hospital.

Sean Fordham’s hat-trick for Melksham took his tally for the campaign to 19, just two behind Adam O'Keeffe in the race to become the top flights leading scorer.

Josh Robinson, Brett Partner, Bobby Mitchell and James Dark shared the others that made up Melksham's seven.

Rangers' replies came from Matt Mead, Lee Mounty and Chris Dore, who put through his own net.

The Wildcats remain very much in the hunt for a top-two finish and a possible shot at the title after they defeated bottom-of-the-table Somerford 3-1.

Somerford, who have been struggling of late, managed one of their best performances for a long time as they battled not just a good Wildcats side but also gale-force winds as they managed to keep the score down in a game Frankie Rogers' side were expected to win comfortably.

Darrin Moss gave Wildcats a half

time lead. Adam Mitchell’s 18th goal to date and a first from Nick Chandler put Wildcats 3-0 up before Matt Spear scored a consolation for Somerford.
