WEST Wilts Esprit Gymnastics saw three of their youngsters crowned as county champions at the Wiltshire Levels competition at Wiltshire School of Gymnastics in Melksham.

Elite gymnasts Isla Mills, Jessica Richardson and Catherine Hall won at Level 5 In Age, Level 4 In Age and Level 3 Out of Age respectively, Ashleigh Bygrave and Chloe Johnston finishing with silver medals.

The club won three of the six titles on offer, while Richardson made club history by winning the Level 5 and Level 4 In Age titles in consecutive years.

West Wilts gymnasts had all come away with medals in the first round of the West Country League competition, the B Team taking gold and the A team silver.

Meanwhile the host club also tasted success, with Abby Hemmens and Polly Boother second and third in the level five 9/10 years category.

At level 5 11/12 years, Holly Pearce won, with Brooke Johnson second and Georgia Gregson third, Charlene Loft and Alaina Moreton finishing eighth and ninth respectively.

Thea Wakeham and Emily Young were first and second at level five 13/14 years, with Alex Purbrick fifth and Emily Lloyd eighth.

At level 4 - 10/11 years, Violet Browne and Caitlin Mander were first and second, with Erin Vincent and Holly Gaiger first and third at level four 12+ years.

Hannah Griffin was first at level three 10 years.

WILTSHIRE School of Gymnastics had four gymnasts flying the flag at the Gymstars Open in Aldershot.

Gymnasts competed on all four pieces of apparatus (vault, bars, beam and floor).

Results Level 5 - 11 years old: Brooke Johnson - 11th overall; Zoe Hunt - 12th overall and sixth on beam Level 4 - 12+ years: Erin Vincent - 20th overall Level 4 - 10+11 years old: Caitlin Mander - 10th overall and first on Bars The Wiltshire Grades also saw 33 School youngsters take part at their at the Melksham gym.

AT THE Daphne Leeworthy Cup at City of Bristol Gymnastics Centre, the School’s 12 year old Nicole Parsons took silver on the vault in the Espoir category, with Jessica Daykin, 13, fifth overall.

Robyn Ellison, 14, was sixth overall and took golf on bars and bronze on vault in the junior section.
