TROWBRIDGE’S Hot Chilli Triathlon Club took a number of competitors to the UK Ironman 70.3 event in Exmoor.

Lysa Fairhurst, who became the second club triathlete to qualify for the world championships, the Corsham School teacher and mother of two qualifying in only her first full triathlon campaign.

Kevin Gover placed third in the senior Vet 55-60 age group, missing out on the world championships place by just one place and four minutes.

Tom Ballard, Luke Maggs, Mark Blake and Robert Edgell all recorded competitive times of around five hours 30 minutes.
