BRITISH middleweight champion Nick Blackwell weighed inside the limit for his first title defence against Damon Jones tomorrow night.

Trowbridge's 'Bang Bang' Blackwell, 24, tipped the scales at 11 st 5 lbs 1 oz at the weigh-in in Derby ahead of his televised match-up on Channel Five.

Challenge Jones, 22, who is unbeaten in 13 fights, weighed slightly heavier at 11 stone 5 lbs 5 oz ahead of the 12-rounder at the Derby Arena.

Blackwell won the title in May at London's O2 Arena against Londoner John Ryder, while Yorkshireman Jones won an English middleweight title eliminator against fellow unbeaten Grant Cunningham last time out.

Blackwell v Jones will be televised live on Channel 5 tomorrow (10pm).
