ALL-CONQUERING Dursley Arms extended their winning run at the top of the Third Division table to nine matches thanks to a 3-1 victory at FC St George.

But after thumping their hosts 9-1 back in September they may have expected a wider winning margin especially as the home team played the whole game with just 10 players.

Joe Grant, Leon Greenland and Joe Kirkpartick found the net for Dursley with Tom Bartlett also missing a penalty for the leaders. Marc Self replied for FC St George.

When Warminster Wanderers and Evana Designs met back in September it was the latter who took thee spoils courtesy of a 5-2 success.

However in the return match it was Warminster who avenged their earlier loss thanks to a 3-0 triumph.

Jamie Howse’s brilliant overhead volley gave Warminster a half-time lead. James Bennett made it 2-0 and his second of the afternoon sealed victory for Jeff Glasson’s side who also missed a penalty with Howse hitting the post from 12 yards.

Calne United may have picked up their first win of the season last weekend when they beat 91-92 FC 11-2, but they were unable to build on that win at Westbury Conservative Club who, thanks to a 6-1 win, moved into third place in the standings.

Steve Ball put Westbury ahead before Calne were gifted their equaliser, sloppy defending in the hosts defence led to Tim Deacon levelling matters.

The remainder of the first half belonged to Westbury and Steve Ball who scored another three goals to take his match tally to four and his season’s to 23.

With Ball rested in the second half the goals dried up, however a first goal for the club from Jon Simpkins and a Ben Stone own goal completed Westbury’s latest win.

Semington FC stretched their unbeaten run to nine matches thanks to a 4-0 win at White Horse (Sunday) B.

Lee Stripe and Joe Hargreaves struck in the first half to put Semington two-up. Bobby Mitchell made it 3-0 when he scored from the penalty spot after Dan Rimmer had been taken out.

Rich Allum smashed home number four and then Chris Dore had the chance to make it 5-0 but hit the post from the penalty spot.
