SWINDON Town Football Club has announced an increase in its matchday and season-ticket pricing for 2023/24.

From the beginning of next term, the price of a matchday ticket will rise by around seven per cent to £27 for an adult in the side stands and £23 in the Alan McLoughlin Town End.

The cost of season tickets - which went on sale at 9am on Monday - are also set to go up, with a five per cent increase during an “early bird” period until Saturday, April 29.

This will be followed by a further five per cent rise from Sunday, April 30, which will see the overall cost of a Town season ticket rising by ten per cent.

Swindon Town said: “At present, we currently sit just outside the play-off places with promotion to League One still very much our aim this term, with an ambitious young manager in Jody Morris driving us forward.

“With the purchasing of the County Ground set for completion at the end of this month alongside you, our dedicated fans, the club is embarking on one of the most exciting journeys in its long history.

“Knowing we’ll own our stadium with our supporters means so much to us, and will not only bring us closer together, but enable us to make joint decisions on its sustainable development for years to come.

“For us, there’s never been a better time to be a part of something as special as this, and with big plans in the pipeline to drive this great club forward, the future is looking incredibly bright both on and off the pitch.

“As a football club, it was really important we considered every aspect when it came to deciding on our new season ticket pricing structure, taking into account the current cost of living challenges you as fans face, and the hike in food, energy and other bills that we as a club face, estimated at around 17 per cent."

Town owner Clem Morfuni said: “We’ve liaised at length with the likes of our Official Supporters Club and Supporters Trust and come up with a pricing structure that we think takes into account the cost pressures we face and the need to keep investing.

“We have done our best to reduce the increases as best we can while trying to maintain our path to being a financially sustainable football club, with our aim being promotion to League One.

“I’d like to reiterate my personal commitment to every single one of our fantastic supporters that every penny you hand over will be reinvested back into the club and stadium."

The ‘early bird’ season-ticket prices will be £390 for adults in the side stand and £370 in the Town End.

Standard tickets from Sunday, April 30 will rise to £405 for adults in the side stand and £385 in the Town End.

Matchday tickets for adults in the Town End will cost £23, £20 for over 65s, £13 for Under 21s, £9 for Under 18s and £3 for Under 11s.

Matchday tickets for adults in the Side Stands will cost £27, £22 for over 65s, £15 for Under 21s, £11 for Under 18s, £3 for Under 11s and £30 for a family.
