Chippenham Town's first official friendly ended in a loss to Highworth Town.
New signings Dave Gilroy, Kye Holly, Ross Stearn, Jack Pitcher and Dan King all featured for the Bluebirds while triallists Curtis Jack, Beau Blakeman, Tom Welch and Aaron Cornwall were all involved.
The Hellenic League hosts took the lead early on when striker Rory Sproule pounced on a mix-up in the Chippenham back line, seeing his deflected loop over Chris Snoddy and into the net.
Minutes later, Highworth were 2-0 up when full-back Kev Tate powered home a low shot from a free-kick just outside the area.
The hosts grabbed a third goal shortly before half-time when Craig Curtis headed home from a corner but Adie Mings' side pulled a goal back moments later.
A Highworth defender was shown a straight red card for handling Alan Griffin's goalbound header and the Chippenham striker stepped up to slot home the spot-kick.
The hosts were allowed to play the second-half with eleven men after a request from the Bluebirds boss and they regained their three goal lead when Mark Barnes raced clear and slotted home into the far corner.
Chippenham reduced the deficit when James Guthrie, playing against his old club, swung the ball into the box from the corner spot.
Fellow sub Alex Kite grabbed the goal of the game as he produced a spectacular volley to make it 4-2.
