Court cost quandary
I REGULARLY see reports of court cases where the culprit is fined and also charged court costs, usually of £80.
Bearing in mind that a solicitor’s fees start at £80 per hour I am intrigued how such a small figure is calculated, leaving the balance of the court costs to be picked up by the taxpayer.
